In-person meal offering

Donor offers rations or cooked meals by visiting the monk in his temple. Once it is offered, traditional sharing of merits is conducted among other rituals prior to the monks partaking in the meal. This is an event of sharing merit and developing wholesome action (karma) for the donor.

Online meal offering

Donor offers financial support for a cooked meal by sending payment online. This provides the opportunity for distant or overseas donors to partake in preparation and offering.  Prior to the monks partaking in the meal, there is the traditional practice of sharing merit and blessings with the donor.
